​Health and Safety Policies at Huntingdon Manor Hotel
Welcome to the Huntingdon Manor Hotel in beautiful Victoria, BC!  The health and safety of our guests and employees has always been our top priority. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have increased our cleanliness standards to the highest level, which are complimented with strict social distancing measures and policies to ensure guests can fully enjoy their stay with us without having to worry for their healthy and safety.
The following preventative actions have been implemented on top of our regular cleaning and safety measures:

• A special cleaning task force
• All-day disinfecting of public surfaces, including door handles, elevator buttons, light-switches, luggage carts, front desk surfaces, and furniture
• All-day disinfecting of individual items, including room key cards in between guest use, pens, credit card machines, and keyboards
• Elimination of stay-over housekeeping services to prevent the risk of spreading germs 
• Deep cleaning of guest rooms between each individual stay
• Touchless check-in and check-out as well as Plexiglas protection at the Front Desk
• Mandatory mask policy for guests and staff in public areas of our buildings
• Provision of personal protective equipment (PPE) where needed
• A rigorous cleaning and hand-washing routine for all employees
• Weekly health check-ins with all employees, including temperature checks 
• Closure of Hunter’s buffet breakfast. It has been replaced with breakfast service at the Pendray Inn and Tea House, and optional pre-wrapped breakfast drop-off.
• Enhanced dining safety procedures and take out menus
• Expansion of seating in our gardens and courtyards for outdoor dining and picnics
• Requirement to practice social distancing (a minimum of 6 feet apart) for guests and staff at all times

We also ask guests and visitors to do their part in preventing the spread of germs:

• Wear a mask in public areas, especially when you cannot maintain 2 metres from others
• Washing hands regularly with soap for at least 20 seconds, and avoid touching your face
• Washing hands before eating and drinking
• Keep your social circle small and safe 
• If feeling sick or exhibiting cold and flu-like symptoms, stay home and do not travel. We offer flexible cancellation policies and our front desk agents are there to assist you with the cancellation or re-booking process
• While at the hotel, we encourage you to enjoy the outdoors and our beautiful extensive gardens

If a guest develops cold and flu-like symptoms such as fever, coughing, runny nose, and sneezing while staying at Huntingdon Manor Hotel:

• Guest should stay away from public areas until symptoms subside
• Guest must wear a mask, especially when coughing or sneezing
• Guest must inform a staff member
• Guest is recommended to call the complimentary BC Nurses line by dialing 811 (9-811 from hotel phones) or the alternative Help Line: 1-888-COVID-19
