Come out and Celebrate Canada’s 150th in Victoria, BC!

Canada is turning 150! Although still considered a young country, Canada has a rich multicultural background from its diverse Indigenous origins to its French and English heritage, enriched by immigrants from around the Globe, ultimately molding Canada’s contemporary, inclusive society.​

Celebrate with the Spirit of 150 Victoria
To commemorate the 150th year of Confederation, Victoria will be hosting special events and activities in and around the Inner Harbour. Called the Spirit of 150 Victoria, the festivities will take place between June 21st and July 1st, starting by honouring our nation’s first inhabitants with National Aboriginal Day , and finishing with an impressive fireworks show on the evening of July 1st! Be prepared for plenty of singing and dancing as over 100 free live music shows will perform during that week!

Free Canada 150 Pancake Breakfast at the Huntingdon Manor Hotel
To honour our beloved nation, we are hosting at the Huntingdon Manor Hotel and Gatsby Mansion a Free Pancake Breakfast in our gardens, overlooking Victoria’s inner harbour. Adjacent to the core of Canada 150 festivities, it’s a perfect way to begin July 1st celebrations! Entertainment and activities will include all Canadian music, face painting for kids and an on-site caricaturist. To commemorate our estate’s rich history, we will have several of our staff dressed in period costumes throughout the day with vintage photo booths for some unique and fun pictures! Breakfast will take place between 8:00-11:00 am. Donations for the pancake breakfast will be accepted with proceeds going to Victoria Women’s Transition House.
Although the city is filling fast, the Huntingdon Manor Hotel still has some rooms available for you to come out and celebrate Victoria’s biggest party.
