On July 1st, we are celebrating our Canadian pride and inviting everyone to our Community Free Pancake Breakfast at the Huntingdon Manor. Kick off your Canada Day festivities in our very own gardens and take part in a morning of Canadian-themed entertainment, period costumes and kids’ activities. Discover why Victoria is the perfect place to spend Canada Day weekend, while you enjoy breakfast beside the Inner Harbour. For the second year in a row, our chefs will be cooking up a free pancake breakfast in the garden between 8am-11am. Open to the public, entertainment and activities will include all-Canadian music, face painting for kids and an onsite caricaturist. We will also be displaying our property’s rich heritage with staff members dressed in 19th-century clothing and a vintage photo booth adjacent the historic Pendray Inn and Tea House. And be on the lookout for Canadian fun facts posted throughout our courtyard. Donations for the breakfast will be accepted on behalf of the Victoria Women’s Transition House. We would love to see your Canada Day spirit online, so connect with us on social media with the hashtag #CanadaDayHuntingdon. Victoria is a premier destination for travelers looking to celebrate Canada Day. Every year, thousands of visitors and locals pour into downtown to enjoy live music, family-friendly activities, local food vendors, and a spectacular fireworks show over the Inner Harbour. On the strength of last year’s Canada 150 festivities, this year will surely produce a joyful buzz around the city. Headlining the concert on the Legislative Lawn is Victoria’s own Carmanah and Quebecois singer Olivier Couture. For more information on this year’s lineup of events and performers, visit the City of Victoria’s official website. If you want to join the Victoria’s biggest party of the summer, the Huntingdon Manor is offering a special Canada Day Hotel Package, which includes overnight parking, a special welcome amenity inside the room and complimentary pancake breakfast. Our property is one of the best places in town to watch the fireworks show, so book your spot now!
